The 2015 RallyWA presentation night was held in late January on what would normally have been a warm evening. Due to some unusually wet weather, the open air function was moved inside at the Royal Perth Yacht Club. 140+ WA rally people got together to celebrate what proved to be a roller coaster of a year.
With Bill “Billy” Hayes at the mic, the evening ran flawlessly with competitors, officials and sponsors all honoured for their efforts and support during last year’s season.
Several members of the Rally Action team attended and we bagged a few trophies too. First up was a Clerk of Course award for 
running the Carrington’s Traffic Services Safari Rally. Whilst presented to the Clerk of Course, it really is a huge team effort indicative in the photo with some of the extremely hard working people that help run the event.
On the competition side, Jess won third outright co-driver in the Clubman Cup (Andrew accepted the award as Jess wasn’t able to attend) and Brad & Richard took third outright in the State Two Wheel Drive Challenge. A pleasant surprise as we thought after the Lewana Stages last year, we were out of contention for a podium placing.
Using a new format during the evening, Bill kept the good humour rolling and Q & A style for the speeches worked well.
With the launch of the 2016 season due toward the end of March, there’s already plenty of activity in our workshop as we prepare cars for the year ahead. The first rally for the year is in April with the Quit Forest Rally.
