This week we were honoured and privileged to attend an awards ceremony of a different kind.

It was for the presentation of a Queen Scout award, one of the highest accolades available in scouting. For Venturer ScoutsQS_cake (aged 14-17 years) the award requires many hours of dedication and hard work over a period of several years.

What does this all have to do with Rally Action? To cut a long story short, when we were younger, some of us were scouts. Through friendships formed long ago we came to run bi-annual events for Venturers which in turn has introduced new generations to Motorsport. Igniting passions for rally, some of the Venturers (and their parents) have joined our team.

QS_1On Tuesday night it was Ashleigh in the limelight receiving her well earned Queen Scout. As an integral member of our team she can be found servicing at all rallies and is also an active competitor. All this before she is even old enough to get her P plates!

Many of the skills Ash has learned with us contributed toward her Queen Scout and conversely she has brought many of her scouting skills to our team as well.

We see a bright future ahead and not just on the motorsport scene. Well done Ash from the entire Rally Action team.
